GUITAR DESIGNER AND BUILDER

Neal Moser began his career with guitars in 1964. He worked in the guitar industry beginning with VOX in 1965 until he went into the Navy in 1966. After finishing his tour in 1969 he worked at West Coast Organ and Amp as a guitar repairman. While there he worked on many WORLD FAMOUS MUSICIANS instruments including guitars belonging to Jimmy Hendricks, Steve Stills, David Crosby, Roger McGuinn ("Byrds"), Vanilla Fudge and many, many others. Later he worked for Barney Kessels Music World in Hollywood where Neal continued doing guitar repair for the Stars. He came to the attention of Bernardo Rico in 1974. At this time he designed the electronics for B.C. Rich guitars. While at B.C. Rich Neal personally designed the B.C. Rich," RICH BICH" which became internationally popular and is still being built. He was very responsible for the creativity that flowed within B.C. Rich during the years he supervised the designing, building and assembly of guitars. " I feel fortunate to have worked with Bernie Rico, Wayne Charvel, and a host of other very tallented luthiers and players ". Shortly after leaving B.C. Rich he designed the Virgin Guitar for Class Axe in New Jersey, who had acquired B.C. Rich.

QUALITY vs QUANTITY

After leaving B.C. Rich in 1985 Neal met Lee Garver and agreed to join forces with Lee. Lee Garver owns GMW Guitar Works. The GMW stands for Garver, Moser and Wizard (Dan Lawrence-God of Graphic Arts). GMW is noted for it's quality guitars which are hand-made by master craftsmen and painted on the premises at GMWs own paint shop. For over 10 years Neal, Lee and Dan created Moser Guitars which were shown at the NAMM Show in Los Angeles from 1986-1998. Since that time Neal Moser has retired to the top of a mountain at the north end of the San Fernando Valley in an area known as Kagel Canyon. He still consults with Lee Garver of GMW Guitar Works and does specialized work for others by appointment only. He can be reached by email at nmoser@attbi.com
